Privacy Policy

Welcome to the IWRT - International Workshop on Religious Tourism, hereinafter referred to as IWRT, organized by ACISO – Associação Empresarial Ourém-Fátima, hereinafter referred to as ACISO.

 

IWRT respects your privacy, protects the personal data of individuals and entities that interact with it, and appreciates the trust placed in this organization.

 

  1. Who is responsable for data processing?

The entity responsible for collecting and processing personal data is ACISO – Associação Empresarial Ourém-Fátima, with NIPC 500 971 293, located at Travessa 10 de Junho, n.º 11, in the city of Ourém.

 

  2. For what purposes do we use your data?

ACISO will process your personal data for the following purposes associated with the IWRT:

  • Management of registrations;
  • Business contact database;
  • Sharing of these contacts for the purpose of promoting these companies. 

Given the specific objectives of IWRT, by registering, you as the data subject authorize ACISO, freely, informedly, explicitly, and specifically, to use your personal data for registration, promotion, communication, execution, and promotion of the Workshop. Your data will be transmitted and shared with third parties involved in the event.

Please note that, as this is a public event, photographs, images, and audio may be captured during the event. By participating, you waive any rights or compensation that may arise from this use.

These images, captured in photographs and videos, may also be used for reproduction, publication, adaptation, or reuse for advertising purposes in national or international media, including the IWRT website, Facebook and Instagram posts, brochures, and any other means of communication and promotion related to this workshop.

Photographs and videos may be partially or fully reproduced on any medium and used for any advertising or promotional purpose and integrated into any other material (photography, drawings, videos, animations, etc.) known or to be developed in the future.

 

  3. What data is required for event registration?

The mandatory data requested for registration includes:

  • Name for badge display;
  • Company name;
  • Company activity;
  • Activity;
  • Country;
  • City;
  • Postal Code;
  • Address;
  • Tax Identification Number (NIF);
  • Company Logo;
  • Participant's name and surname;
  • Date of birth;
  • Email;
  • Mobile number;
  • Job title;
  • Valid passport/identity number;
  • Photograph of the valid document;
  • Food intolerances/allergies.

Additional optional data may be requested to better organize the event and accommodate participants.

Failure to provide the mandatory data or to accept this privacy policy, the cookie policy, terms and conditions, and regulations implies the non-acceptance of registration for IWRT.

 

  4. How do we collect data?

Personal data is provided directly, freely, specifically, informatively, and explicitly by users through a registration form on the event’s website.

The personal data collected is processed through automated means, including collection, registration, organization, storage, consultation, deletion, or destruction.

 

  5. How long do we retain your data?

Collected data will be stored only for the time necessary to achieve the objectives of IWRT and will not be used for any purpose other than that for which consent was given.

While stored, data will be protected by commercially acceptable means to prevent loss, theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.

 

  6. Rights of data subjects

In accordance with Articles 13 to 22 of the GDPR, ACISO informs that any data in its possession can be consulted, limited in processing, corrected (for inaccuracies, incompleteness, or incorrectness), and deleted.

ACISO further informs that, where processing depends on consent, the data subject has the right to withdraw their consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of processing based on prior consent.

Users also have the right to object to the continued processing of their personal data, to be informed, upon request, of the purposes of processing, categories of data involved, identity of recipients to whom data has been disclosed, and the retention period for their personal data, as well as to receive their personal data and send it to another data controller ("data portability").

ACISO has a duty to inform in the event of a data breach.

 

  7. Subcontractors

ACISO may engage subcontractors for the maintenance, hosting, and management of its IT systems and equipment, as permitted by legislation governing the processing of personal data. These entities are obliged to maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of your data and the IWRT platform to which they have access, and may not use this data for any other purposes or for their own benefit, nor relate it to other data they possess.

In all cases, ACISO remains responsible for the personal data made available to it.

 

  8. Communication and transfer of personal data

Personal data may be disclosed to courts and other competent authorities, strictly in accordance with the law, particularly when necessary for resolving disputes and for activities related to the protection of public security, national defense and security, and the prevention, investigation, or detection of criminal offenses.

 

  9. Complaints

Without prejudice to the possibility of submitting complaints directly to ACISO through the provided contact information, the data subject may also file a complaint directly with the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD), the supervisory authority in Portugal, using the contact details provided by this entity.
